To provide you with valuable hands-on experience, the program includes a balance of 300 hours in a real medical environment. During this phase, you will complete an internship at a doctor's office or an internship site. The curriculum of our Medical Assistant Hybrid Program covers a wide range of essential topics, including medical terminology, phlebotomy techniques, OSHA standards, EKG skills, aseptic techniques, medical examination procedures, communication skills, medical law and ethics, medical transcription, career development, medical coding and billing with electronic health records (EHR), anatomy and physiology, pharmacology, laboratory skills, medical office management, and office procedures.
